  1. Collection of General Information

When you access our website, general information is collected automatically. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of the web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and the like. None of the information gathered can be used to identify you. This information is technically required in order to correctly output the content of websites you requested and is necessarily gathered whenever you use the Internet. We apply such anonymous information for statistical evaluation, which we then use as a basis for continually optimizing our Internet presence and the technology behind it.

Like many other websites, we also use “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that are saved to your local hard drive by a website server. By this, we receive specific personal data, e.g. the IP address, browser and operating system used, automatically via your computer and your Internet connection.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transmit viruses to a computer. The information included in the cookies allows us to make it easier for you to navigate our website and to display it correctly. We will not transmit data we have collected on our website to third parties or create a link with personal data without your consent.

Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are usually set to accept cookies by default. You can deactivate the use of cookies via your browser settings at any time. • Lawfulness of Processing

Our policies and practices have been designed to comply with the LAW ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA (LPPD) and corresponding provincial privacy acts.

The legal basis for processing operations in respect of which we obtain consent for a specific pro-cessing purpose is Art. 5 of the LPPD. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the perfor-mance of a contract, Art. 5 of the LPPD forms the required legal basis.

  • Erasing or Blocking Data

We adhere to the principles of “privacy by design” and “privacy by default”. We therefore only store your personal data as long as this is necessary in order to fulfil the purposes specified here or as is required as per the various statutory retention periods. After the relevant purpose is no longer applicable or these retention periods have expired, the stored data is blocked or erased as a matter of routine and in accordance with legal regulations.

  • Data Protection as Part of Job Application Process

We collect and process applicants’ personal data for the purpose of handling the application process. Such processing can also be performed electronically. If an application process leads to an employment contract with the applicant, we save the data provided to us for the purpose of dealing with the formalities surrounding the employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions. If an application does not result in the applicant being employed, we will erase the application documents no later than six months after notification of the rejection to the applicant, provided that no other legitimate interests of our company are contrary to erasure.

  • Data Subject Rights

You have the right to request information about your personal data we have stored at any time. You also have the right to have your personal data corrected, blocked, or – with the exception of the required data stored for business purposes – erased. To do this, please contact helena.sumchenko@omskcarbon.com.

To ensure that data can be blocked at any time, this data must be held available in a block file for monitoring purposes. You can also request data to be erased provided that it is not subject to compulsory archiving. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data upon your request.

You have the right to revoke your consent to the processing of personal data at any time with future effect. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed based on the consent before its withdrawal. You can make changes or revoke your consent by notifying us at helena.sumchenko@omskcarbon.com with effect for the future.

There is a statutory comment period of four weeks for processing your request, which in exceptional cases can be extended by four weeks more. We strive to fully process your request within the first four weeks after receipt. Please note that due to statutory storage periods, we may still be obliged to store certain personal data even after you have applied for erasure.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the LPPD, you have the right – without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy – to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the state of your residence, your workplace or the place of the alleged violation.
